UTAH ADVANCED AIR MOBILITY WORKING GROUP
Members of the Utah Advanced Air Mobility Working Group.

During the 2022 Utah Legislative Session, the Legislature passed Senate Bill 122, Unmanned Aircraft Amendments and Governor Spencer Cox subsequently signed it into law. The law directs the Utah Aeronautics Division to study Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) in Utah through the formation of a working group. The group is composed of state and local policymakers, private-sector industry experts and representatives from non-profit organizations.

The working group has met regularly to study the development and implementation of a future AAM system in the state. Efforts have included identifying current and future state assets that support advanced air mobility, the potential benefits, limitations and feasibility of implementing AAM, the infrastructure and funding mechanisms needed to support it, and the policy implications. The working group is anticipated to make a full report to the Utah State Legislature’s Transportation Interim Committee next month.
