Update Your AAO Profile

Make sure your profile on the AAO website is up-to-date. Consumers can search “find an ortho” from the AAO page and request an appointment directly from there. For more information on updating your AAO profile visit here.

  • The AAO continues to be very active in advocating for the specialty. Their efforts regarding direct-to-consumer orthodontics has taken a broad approach as they strive to protect the health and safety of orthodontic patients, both current and prospective. Read more about their efforts here.
  • The AAO has also been hard at work in one of our own components, Washington State. Read more about how the AAO worked with the Washington State Society of Orthodontists (WSSO) and WSSO members to defeat a proposal that would have permitted Washington dental hygienists to perform many orthodontic procedures under only general, rather than close or direct, supervision.
