CLACKAMAS WOODLAND FARMER OF THE YEAR 2020 RECOGNITION AND
CCFFA ANNUAL MEETING
Thursday, November 12, 2020, 6:00-8:00pm
The evening will begin with theClackamas County Farm Forestry Associationannual business meeting and election of officers and Board members. OSU Extension Forester Glenn Ahrens will then lead the presentation and storytelling with Clackamas Woodland Farmer nominees for 2020. The Clackamas Woodland Farmer of the Year Recognition program began in 1955 and it is the oldest recognition event in Oregon. The purpose is to bring attention and recognition to the excellent forest stewardship and tree farming work being done in the County. Nominees are recognized for their dedicated efforts and inspiring examples of forest stewardship along with their volunteer efforts to benefit the greater woodland community. Join us to learn about and celebrate the Clackamas Woodland Farmer of the Year 2020!

Glenn Ahrens: After the Fire
Now that the smoke has cleared after the wildfires, the full extent of the damage is becoming apparent. Estimates are that over 400,000 acres burned just in Clackamas and Marion Counties, including almost 100,000 acres of private land. The fires are not completely out, and the data is still coming in.
