Hi Neighbors!
Although we may feel alone, we are never truly alone. Help and community is just a phone call or email away. People are working hard and putting themselves and their families at risk to ensure there is food and essential services and supplies available for all of us. Thank you to anyone here who is putting yourself out there for all of us. Please share our gratitude with family members and friends as well.
In this issue:
  • Virtual support groups for Clearview and Oakville residents
  • Reaching out to neighbors in need
  • Organizing assistance in Clearview
  • Garbage Pails Added to Trail Heads
  • Porch Pick Up Food Drive this Tuesday March 24 9am
Virtual support groups for Clearview: I see people taking care of one another in the Clearview Oakville Parents Facebook Group. Its not just school parents. Join!  There is also a Facebook group for St. Luke’s parents.  Let people know how you can help and what you need. There is also an Oakville facebook group for response to Covid 19 and community care:
Reaching out to neighbors: Another thing you can do is leave a note at your neighbors’ homes with your contact information and an offer to help them if they need. Some are seniors, health compromised, sick, whatever. Here is info on this idea about reaching out to neighbours:
Organizing assistance in Clearview: A couple residents are talking about a form for people to complete if they need assistance or can volunteer to help others. Stay tuned and share thoughts with
Garbage Pails Added to Trail Heads:  And in non-Covid news, Councillor Janet Haslett-Theall arranged for garbage pails to be replaced where they had been removed after kitchen waste was being dumped (Don’t do that!!).  More pails will come out for spring trail opening. Thanks to neighbors for raising this issue.
Porch Pick Up Food Drive: I’m sharing below an opportunity to donate to the local foodbank this Tuesday morning, porch pick up, just email Carlo from Sil’s.  FYI, the Compass serves families in our neighborhood who get food at the weekly food bank day at ClearView Church.
Anyone that would like to donate food can email Carlo at
You can also make a financial contribution at
Porch Pick Up Food Drive Mar 24th 9 am for The Compass!
Hosted by Carlo Sabucco of Sil’s Auto.
From Carlo of Sil’s Auto:
On Tuesday March 24th I’ll make 1 single day round to help starting at 9am. In your email, please put your name, address and phone number. In subject the line put “the compass”. All bags must be left in the front door step in a plastic bag.
I’m going to personally use our company shuttle vehicle (which is sanitized), pay for all fuel in it and go to each person’s home in the Clarkson Lorne park [Clearview] area to pick up whatever they can to offer The Compass food bank.
I have never done this before but if it helps people in our community then I’ll figure it out somehow. Carlo Sabucco is my name and the owner of Sil’s Complete Auto Care so you know who is taking stuff.
If you have travelled outside country in last 14 days or have Covid 19, please do not donate food. To protect me, my staff and those who I come in contact with.
