Newsletter                                                  Volume 2 Issue 6

These past few weeks have been a whirlwind, and we miss you more than ever. We switched to online rehearsals and lessons, held auditions for Frozen, Jr. and cast our Chatham Community Players show, "Who's Happy Now."

Although Center for the Arts, Pittsboro and Sweet Bee Theater will be closed for the duration of the stay-at-home order, we will be creating virtually! Stay tuned for some exciting new things coming your way.

But this also means that Godspell Jr. - which was supposed to premiere this weekend - has been postponed. If you were planning to see the show, consider donating the cost of a ticket by clicking here and scrolling to our gift options.

Thank you for your support as we navigate this time together.

Pittsboro Youth Theater

Rehearsals for all Pittsboro Youth Theater shows have moved online! Here is the Godspell cast coming together. You may have seen the Broadway virtual choirs...well, keep an eye out because we'll be bringing our own to you soon.

Our other PYT folks have been doing some daily theatre challenges, like posing with a pet and singing their favorite Disney songs. These can all be found on our PYT Facebook page, so make sure you are following it.

Center for the Arts

Sweet Bee Caffe is nominated for "Best Place to Buy Locally Made Art in Orange/Chatham County." Vote for us here!

Small businesses in general and performance arts organizations in particular are projected to be hit hard by forthcoming economic changes, social distancing and governmental edicts relating to gatherings. We encourage our patrons to keep this in mind as they make decisions about how, where and when to support the arts. The family of arts organizations at the Center for the Arts, Pittsboro will do our best to adapt and economize. This so we can continue to provide wonderful cultural arts skills and experiences to area children and adults long term.

If you would ordinarily support us in ways that new circumstances might change, please consider donating the value of unenjoyed experiences to continue our financial solvency and increase the likelihood that our organization will be here when circumstances improve.
