We’re pleased to report that our Policy Influencers Network Group #3 provided a fascinating mixture of insights and policy ideas on the theme of
Healthy Soils = Healthy Population.

We examined changing priorities and narratives around locally grown food, nutrition, health and well-being in response to the climate emergency, biodiversity loss, food security and the health emergency.

We enjoyed stimulating presentations from Anna Cura, Food, Farming and Countryside Commission, Dr Elizabeth Westaway from Growing Real Food for Nutrition, from Gavin Fletcher of Leicestershire County Council, and John Wilcox and Kathy Holmes from Nottinghamshire County Council.

You can see the recordings and outcomes of the collective policy-writing exercise here:

PING sessions are free to attend, and are for council officers at regional and local levels, for food partnership colleagues and interested academics: all are welcome - we convene online to create an inclusive informal space to learn, connect and be inspired.
