Hi <<First Name>>,
Summer is here and we are expanding our programs at the Gateway Bicycle Hub!
I. New Volunteer Tools: Shifts Sign-Up + Logging Hours
We now have an official volunteer shift sign-up form! Once you've submitted the form, you'll receive a confirmation email with the shifts you've signed up for. After your shift, don't forget to log your hours using our volunteer time log.
II. Drop-In DIY Repair Hours: Tuesdays, Thursdays AND Saturdays!
In addition to being open from 4 to 7 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, we are expanding to Saturdays starting July 6th from 12 to 3 pm. Sign up for a shift and then come on by to teach members of the community how to fix their bikes!
III. Community Repair Clinics
We have kicked off our outdoor community repair clinics in both Thorncliffe Park and Flemingdon Park! We are providing free minor bike repairs and safety checks at the following locations and times, weather permitting:
Every Friday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm @ R.V. Burgess Park (46 Thorncliffe Park Drive)
Every other Friday from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm @ Flemingdon Park (150 Grenoble Drive)
Sign up for a shift and then join the repair crew to fix bikes for the community and teach members of the public how to maintain their bikes!
IV. Strava Cycling Group
The best part about repairing your bike is being able to ride! Join our new Strava group to log your rides and connect with other cyclists in our community. Look out for group rides coming up soon!
V. Shop Supplies
We are going through rags and brushes at supersonic speeds! If you have an old T-shirt or pair of jeans you are thinking of throwing out, bring it by the Hub and we'll make good use of it. Same goes for old toothbrushes, which double as excellent drivetrain cleaners.
See you out there!
