VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We Think the World of Our EMS Staff!

Staff Appreciation Lunch: International Cuisine, Thursday, March 31—Drop Off by 10:30 am

For our next staff appreciation lunch on Thursday, March 31, we want to take our amazing EMS staff on a culinary journey around the world.

Sign up here to contribute a food item, supplies or a helping hand for this international feast. Not a chef, or short on time? Not a problem! Store-bought items are appreciated. And while family recipes are always welcomed, your contributions don't need to represent your own heritage!

Please drop off all items by 10:30 am on March 31 at the front office. As always, thank you for your help. This event wouldn't be possible without our wonderful volunteers!

Additional Volunteer Opportunities

EMS PTSA will need help organizing the E-Prep (emergency preparedness) storage containers at school this spring, once the weather permits.

If you are interested in helping out, please contact our E-Prep chair, Stephanie Justus, at stephanie@evergreenptsa.org.

More Opportunities to Lend a Hand

We're also looking for some enthusiastic parent volunteers to help with several events occurring later this spring:

  • Staff Appreciation Week: May 2–6
  • Volunteer Recognition & Celebration: End of May or early June
  • 8th Grade Promotion: June TBD

Contact Manda Mangrai at manda@evergreenptsa.org for more information.

SCHOOL & DISTRICT NEWS

May 31—Full Day of School

Image of a blank calendar with a pencil resting on top

LWSD has finalized plans to make up for the one day missed due to snow on January 3. May 31 was built in as a snow make-up day, meaning that if we had a snow day this year, we would make it up by changing this no-school day to a regular school day. The 2021-22 calendar has been modified to reflect that May 31 will now be a full day of school. [printable LWSD calendar]
