From the Course Coordinator - Lorraine Sterling

Happily, we have succeeded in having a whole semester of classes and activities without any Covid disruptions.
We are looking forward to Semester 2 beginning on August 1, with all our favourite classes plus four new ones.
The new classes are:
General Exercise Class, with Gerry McKellar.
This is for everybody; is of moderate intensity and can be done standing or seated if needed.  Exercises include strength, core, balance and aerobic activities.
Mondays at Rossmoyne, 10 am

Napoleon, Genius and Despot, with Frank Bannan
Was Napoleon a great commander and statesman, or just a lucky gambler and tyrant?  We look at his remarkable career from 1800 to 1815, tracing his meteoric rise to power and his desperate last gamble at Waterloo.
Mondays at Brentwood Park Neighbourhood House, 1 pm

Walking Basketball, with Bruce Campbell
Walking basketball is a low-impact, social and fun way to improve levels of physical activity for older and inactive seniors, including those recovering from injury.  Supported by Basketball Victoria, providing funds, equipment and the rules!
Thursdays at Endeavour Hills Leisure Centre, 10 am

Men's Exercise Class, with Wal Bristowe
Gentle exercise for men, concentrating on movement to enhance flexibility and balance.  Can be done seated if required.
Ideas for participants to practice at home before the next session.
Each session will be followed by a social sausage sizzle for those inclined to chat over snags and coffee.
Thursdays at Rossmoyne, 11.15

Make sure to enrol in these classes as soon as possible - you won't want to miss out on the fun.

As advised elsewhere, the office is relocating back to Rossmoyne the last week of June.
Our office is closed in July.
We will re-open at Rossmoyne for Semester 2: from Tuesday, August 2nd.
Tuesdays 12 - 2 pm
Thursdays 10 - 12.
