Tutors - Printers
The laser printer has been relocated back to Fiddlers Green from Rossmoyne.

A new printer has been ordered for Oatlands Kindergarten office & will be installed shortly
Committee Comings & Goings
Two long-serving committee members have advised that they will not be continuing with the committee.
Colin Whitney has served on the committee for 8 years & was president 5 years.
Colin was awarded life membership last year.
Thank you Colin for your long service to U3A Casey.
Colin will continue as a tutor.
Chris Trimnell has also advised that she will be stepping down from the committee & her role as course coordinator.
Chris has provided service in many roles during her time on the committee.
Chris has contributed a very substantial amount of time to U3A Casey
Chris will now be able to do some travel around Australia - interrupted by Covid plus spend more time with her family.
Thank you Chris for your dedicated contribution & we hope you can have a more relaxing time in the months ahead.
Tamar Williams is joining the committee.
We look forward to welcoming Tamar & the new ideas & energy Tamar will provide.
Course Coordinator.
With the departure of Chris Trimnell, Lorraine Sterling will take on the role of the course coordinator.
We plan to split up the parts of the role to reduce the load on one person.
More on that later when the restructure has been finalised.
While Lorraine is away - until April 26 - Jean Farrell will look after any course coordinator queries.

An Invitation
You are cordially invited to trial the next Sketch Your Story class on ZOOM without committing to the course.

The subject will be Sketching Vegetation in Pen and Watercolour. The tutor Kathleen Newman will share her technique of tackling a mass of vegetation...like a slice of rainforest!

The class will start with a Show & Tell of their sketches by class members. The tutor will then talk you through some examples of her own vegetation sketches via a PowerPoint presentation. In the second hour, the class will practice sketching some vegetation from 2 photos (starting with a simpler example to be followed by a more difficult one).

Materials required: Two sheets of A5 watercolour paper or watercolour sketchbook, pencil, fine marker pen (or ink pen) with WATERPROOF INK (eg. Micron, Faber Castell Pitt brands. Can be purchased from Office Works). Watercolours (watercolour pencils will also do).

Friday 8th April
1-3 pm
Email Kathleen: klhnewman@gmail.com for the Zoom link or for queries.

The Social Adventures 1st trip was to the Blue Lotus Water Gardens. The weather was good and the company was great. Peter, our bus driver, joined in our most entertaining journey and I am pretty sure I can say we are all looking forward to the next adventure!
