2019 CUSF Fall Classic

Good Day CUSF Shooters,

I hope summer has treated you all well and that some of you got out and found some local shoots to attend and hone your competitive shooting skill sets!
It is almost time to get back to school and that means its time to dust off some of that rust if you have not been shooting much and hit the skeet field for some much needed practice.

The NSSA has approved the CUSF Fall Classic and will be shot in the same format as last years CUSF National Championships. The shoot will be in a satellite format once again, meaning, you can shoot your 100 targets with your team at your home club and send the scores and shootoff round scores in to me to establish the winners!
The CUSF Fall Classic runs from October 12-20, this gives everyone 2 weekends to get their targets in. All 100 targets must be shot sequentially and without breaks. NSSA gives 1.5 hours to squads to complete their 4 rounds of skeet and total 100 targets shot. NSSA rules and by-laws apply to the shoot and a certified referee should pull the targets and score. If you do not have an NSSA referee in your area that is available to aid with pulling, scoring and rules issues, please contact me.

All shooters who took part in the CUSF National Championships this past fall are eligible to compete in the CUSF Fall Classic provided the appropriate fees are paid to register your targets. Any new CUSF shooters that wish to compete, must ensure that they have registered with the NSSA and that their membership is in good standing. Be advised if you have never shot NSSA competition/ been a member of the organization, you are eligible for a 1 year free complimentary limited membership. Shooters must also ensure that they are registered within their “state” skeet association (all Ontario shooter must be members of both the OSSA and NSSA, BC shooters – the NSSA and BCSA, Alberta shooters – NSSA and ASSA, etc).

If you are interested in this years competitions and have any questions pertaining to anything CUSF, NSSA or anything shotgun shooting related, please do not hesitate to contact me.

CUSF Shotgun Coordinator/ skeet director
