Merry Christmas!

As 2020 comes to a close everyone from the CUSF wished you a safe and happy holiday season! Our volunteers have worked hard this year to bring you events and competitions this year and we will work harder in the new year to host even more ranges days, clinics, and competitions, no matter what 2021 brings. To participate in CUSF events remember to renew your membership and encourage your friends to get theirs too.

Looking for some listening material this Christmas break? Check out our new podcast, CUSF Down the Barrel, streamed live on Youtube and Facebook biweekly. We are on iTunes, Spotify, and everywhere else that podcasts can be found!

We are always looking for community feedback and so we are asking you to contact us at your convenience with what we did good and what needs improvement. The CUSF was created to support students and their sport shooting endeavours and so who better to help us improve than the students themselves.

Looking Forward

Even with COVID we are still planning the next round of our shotgun and rifle shooting competitions for Winter of 2021. Being a socially distant sport we should hopefully still be able to run as planned! We also look forward to rolling out our clinics in these disciplines, which are specifically designed and tailored to introduce sport shooting to new shooters and to instill the fundamentals of the sport to more experienced shooters. Check out for the most up to date details!

Partnership Highlights

Thanks to all our sponsors who have came supported us this past year, including the Cabela's Outdoor Fund, Beretta, Vortex, Safari Club International, Stittville Shooting Ranges, and R&R Rentals.

With their generous support we can provide funding to clubs, subsidies to programs like Mapleseed Clinics and PAL courses, and continue to expand our operations from coast to coast!

Club Spotlight: NS Student Marksmanship Club

We at CUSF NS Student Marksmanship Club founded our club to address the need for more firearms education among Nova Scotian university students. Many students have an interest in firearms that comes from movies, video games, or even history. Most of these students have never gotten the opportunity to experience the real deal but yet they would jump on it if given the chance.
We aim to give them the chance to see what it’s like to safely operate firearms in a controlled, safe, and education-oriented environment. Join us at several types of events throughout the year including target practice, skeet shooting, competitions, and educational workshops to gain a well rounded understanding of firearms in Canada and the culture around them.

- Zackary, Founder of the CUSF NS Student Marksmanship Club
