Happy New Year!

Here's to 2022

Indian Lake Borough Council and staff would like to wish all of our residents a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!  We can't thank everyone enough for your support in 2021.

Meeting Monday, January 3rd

As is required by law, the Borough will hold a 'reorganizational' meeting on Monday, January 3rd to swear in newly elected council members, elect new leadership, fill key positions and vacancies, and establish meeting schedules for the next year/term. Normal monthly business will be conducted as well.  See the Announcements on the Borough web site for the published agendas.

This is the only meeting planned for January

Trees

Indian Lake Planning Commission drafted an amendment to the zoning ordinance 144 section 415 to provide additional clarity and oversight for tree cutting around the Borough.  The amendment also includes guidance for timbering.  Pennsylvania law authorizes the reasonable regulation of forestry activities, including timber harvesting and logging. The intent of the amendment is to ensure proper planning and careful management of the Borough trees to include the option of timber harvesting.

The Borough will host a hearing, likely in February, for the public to express any concerns or questions regarding the amendment.
