Water Treatment Plant
  • In the ground piping at the new and existing Cherry Lane tanks is complete.  Connections are made to the existing water distribution system and the new treatment plant.
  • New piping within the plant is 98% complete.
  • Permanent electrical service to the plant is complete and inspections have occurred.
  • The manufacturer of the treatment system is on site the week of April 11, 2022, to begin system flushing and controls verification.   Borough personnel will be given preliminary training on the systems operation.
  • Work remaining elsewhere in the Borough scheduled in the next couple weeks:
  • Well, 18B (at Wenatchee) - Installation of the pump and controls
  • Electrical and control work on Peninsula Drive /Palmer Drive Pipe (Crossover to the Buckstown distribution side)
  • Peninsula Tank piping vault - Piping rehabilitation
  • Seneca Lane at South Peninsula - Minor valve work once the treatment plant is online and supplying treated water
We appreciate everyone’s patience with the recent interruptions in service.  There will still be some minor water service outage as there are some final water cross connections yet to made (valves are in place), once the treatment plant is online treated water will be distributed throughout the Borough.
Substantial completion of the new plant will occur in May in advance of the July DEP mandated date to have the new plant online.
