Boil Water Notice

The water line break near the Lodge has been repaired.  Users from the Pro Shop, to the Lodge and Kickapoo Court (all townhouses), and South Shore Trail down to the Borough Office were without water a few hours until repairs were made.  

Following such repairs a boil-water notice must be in effect for affected users until laboratory testing can confirm the water is safe for drinking or cooking.  This confirmation is not expected until Monday or Tuesday.  
A SwiftReach notice and advisory has been issued as required.

Since some folks have not signed up for SwiftReach alerts, and some are not familiar with DEP's required boil-water regimen, the instructions are included here, for reference:
This is a Public Water Notification for Indian Lake Borough. Due to a water main break, a Boil Water Notice is issued for the residences from the Town Houses along South Shore Trail to the intersection of South Shore Trail and Causeway Drive. This includes all connecting roads with-in this section and also Kickapoo Court and Pow Wow court roads. To properly boil water, you need to bring the water to a boil and let boil for one minute before shutting off the heat. once the water cools, then you can use the water for consumption. This notice is posted on the Borough website at  We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
