A couple of important items:

Memorial Day Weekend

The official start of summer is finally here!!  We would ask that everyone consider your neighbors while using the roads and lake. Together we can all enjoy our time and respect the time of others. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend with friends and family.

ILB Zoning Officer

We would like to thank our long time Zoning Officer Dave Wood for his service to the Borough since 2013. Dave has decided to retire effective May 27th, 2021. We wish him the best in his retirement and thank him for his service.

To step into the open position Council decided to engage both Rob Hufford and Dean Snyder as the new Zoning Officers. Rob and Dean are both currently with the ILB Roads, Water and Maintenance team and have agreed to accept the additional responsibilities of Zoning. We are convinced that with Dean's previous knowledge of Zoning and Rob's willingness to learn that our new Zoning team will be exactly what the Borough needs as we grow and move forward. All correspondence can be sent to zoning@indianlakepa.us

Lake Closure for Weed Treatment

AEC has us scheduled for weed treatment Tuesday, June 22nd.  The Lake is anticipated to be closed for recreational boating that day, and only that day.  While the day may change due to weather, at this point we can safely pencil that date on your calendars.

Don't say we didn't warn you...

From PennDOT:

PennDOT has scheduled a maintenance project on the Causeway Drive bridge, crossing Lake Stonycreek on the way to Shanksville, set to begin June 6, 2022 (yes, 2022).  It will last approximately three to four weeks.  Please plan accordingly if traveling through the area.
