Find out what's happening this month at the Armory!
It feels great to be safely welcoming our community back into our spaces for events. Last month we hosted a number of events in our Performance Hall and Café, including events with larger audiences like CirqueUs and touring comedian Atsuko Okatsuka, and masked audiences were delighted to be enjoying live performances again. Keep in mind that we will be requiring proof of vaccination for admittance to all Performance Hall and Café events as of October 1, 2021. These precautions, plus the considerable vertical space of the Performance Hall, providing for good ventilation, are boding well for our venue. Also, last month we announced news of a grant from Cabot Family Charitable Trust, which is allowing us to do capital planning, painting, major cleanup and other improvements in the Armory Performance Hall. For those of you who haven't stopped by in a while, please pay us a visit and see what improvements we've made (keeping in mind we're just getting started!). We are motivated to improve our spaces to better serve you, our community, and make magic happen here! If you are considering booking an event with us, please email email@example.com to schedule a walk through and/or discuss details.
We've also been busy staffing up and are still seeking Café staff with weeknight / weekend availability to work in the Café when we have events happening. Please click here for more info. We are also seeking volunteers to assist our Events Team with everything from parking to greeting guests at the door. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you'd like to help out!
Masks and Proof of Vaccination Required for Admittance to Events at Arts at the Armory
Please keep in mind that effective October 1, 2021, the Center for Arts at the Armory requires all staff and event guests to show proof of vaccination status for admittanceto events in the Performance Hall, Mezzanine, Cafe or B5. Children under the age of 12 will not have to show proof of vaccination (or proof of a negative COVID test) for admittance to events but are required to wear a mask. Guests who wear masks and present a negative COVID test 24 hours prior to the event will also be admitted. Guests are encouraged to show proof of vaccination from their cell phones. In addition, effective August 13, 2021, once inside the Armory building, the Center for Arts at the Armory requires all staff, volunteers, interns, vendors, shoppers and guests to wear a mask regardless of whether they have been vaccinated against COVID-19. We will continue to evaluate and update these policies as the situation evolves.
