Earlier today, several shots were fired in the 4600 block of North Lowell Avenue in the vicinity of Saint Edward’s School. The incident appears to be targeted between known parties. This is unacceptable.
My office worked with the 17th Police District to ensure officers were on-site for school dismissal. We met with Father Dominic Clemente and the school principal.
I spoke with Mayor Lightfoot. She assured me our officers and specialized units will remain in our community.
