Library Marketing Plan Template Developed by Wisconsin Public Library System Cohort

Based on Kathy Dempsey’s “Cycle of True Marketing,” a state-wide Wisconsin public library system marketing cohort has drafted a marketing plan template that any library of any size can model and adapt. The template includes:
  • A customizable marketing framework that can be adapted to suit a library’s unique needs and community
  • A sample marketing plan, budget, and calendar guides
  • Links to resources that expand on the information presented

Webinar TODAY: Getting Started with Web Accessibility

Join WiLSWorld Shorts today, Friday, March 13th at 1:00 pm as we hear from Ashley Dzick, Adjunct Professor, Humanities, Social Science, and Communications Department, Milwaukee School of Engineering on getting started with web accessibility.

Libraries are designed to build up communities. In 2020 that community isn’t just in person; library tools and resources are increasingly online. Your online presence needs to be able to serve your entire audience — especially those who physically or mentally can’t access your physical space. Inclusive design accounts for your entire audience, no matter who or where they are. We’ll walk through a brief introduction to accessibility, why accessibility matters, and the changes required to be WCAG accessibility compliant.

Participants will leave with a list of tools and resources they can immediately start to leverage, including a screen reader, magnifier, and other assistive devices that have a significant impact on how users interact with websites.
