Kewaunee Public Library Receives ALA Community Engagement Grant

Congratulations to the Kewaunee Public Library on receiving one of the 11, first-round ALA Libraries Transforming Communities (LTC) grants!

ALA has all the info you need to apply for second-round funding. Second round applications are due March 4, 2021.

Embracing Special Needs, Building Inclusive Communities: A Program offered by Miss Wisconsin 2020-2021

Alyssa Bohm, a Racine native, is currently serving as Miss Wisconsin 2020-2021. She is a high school special education teacher that understands the importance of equal opportunities and educating our youth about inclusion and acceptance. 
As a state titleholder, it’s Alyssa's job to volunteer, make appearances throughout the state and promote her social impact initiative, "Embracing Special Needs, Building Inclusive Communities" which focuses on enhancing the lives of those with disabilities and creating inclusivity within our communities. 

Alyssa is diligently working to fill up her calendar for the remainder of her tenure. She is scheduling virtual and in-person appearances.

Applications for the ARSL Outstanding in Their Field Leadership Institute will be open through February 24, 2021.

This unique professional development opportunity is open to current and aspiring leaders from all library types and seeks to provide leadership training to those who feel their prior education and work has not adequately prepared them for the challenges of leading in libraries.
