Brown County Library’s Offer to Purchase Building for Future East Branch Library Accepted


""After careful consideration and thoughtful deliberation, and upon approval by the Brown County Education and Recreation Committee, the Brown County Library Board of Trustees announces an accepted offer of $975,000 for property that will become the future home of the East Branch Library.

Register for Trustee Training Week 2021

Wisconsin Trustee Training Week
Registration is now open for Wisconsin Trustee Training Week 2021, which will be held Aug. 23-27.

There will be one webinar each day from noon to 1 p.m. on a topic that’s relevant to public library boards, friends, and trustees. Webinars are available free of charge and are open to anyone.

Tech Days Wisconsin Libraries 2021

Tech Days Webinar Series: September 15-16


Learn from experts without having to travel! Tech Days 2021 is a two-day webinar series.
 

Go to techdayswisc.org to find descriptions of the webinar sessions, read about our presenters, and register for the sessions you wish to attend.  All webinars will be recorded, captioned, and available on the Resources page.

There is no fee to attend Tech Days, thanks to sponsorship by all 16 library systems and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, Public Library Development Team, with funding support from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

ARSL Conference Early Bird Registration Open July 7th


ARSL: The Biggest Little Library Conference, October 20-23 in Sparks, NevadaEarly Bird Registration for the 2021 ARSL Conference is now open! From now through August 17 conference attendees can register at reduced Early Bird rates:

  • ARSL Members: $275
  • Nonmembers: $350
  • Advocates*: $225

After August 17, attendees can register at regular registration rates:

  • ARSL Members: $350
  • Nonmembers: $425
  • Advocates*: $275

*Advocates include library Trustees, Board Members, Friends, and Volunteers

Preconference workshops are back for in-person attendees this year! These workshops are priced separately from general conference attendance and will take place on Wednesday, October 20. Check out the Program Descriptions page for full workshop details.

limited selection of virtual offerings is also available for those who can’t make the trip this time. Virtual attendance rates are:

  • ARSL Members: $50
  • Nonmembers: $75
  • Advocates: $25
