Description: Learn about the intersection between reproductive health information and information access with Wisconsin's own 2022 LJ Mover and Shaker. Barbara Alvarez’s research focus is on information sharing and access related to reproductive health issues. This talk will center on relevant research and writing projects, as well as contemporary issues for Wisconsinites.
About Barbara Alvarez, Associate Lecturer and PhD Student University of Wisconsin-Madison. Barbara is an instructor in Library and Information Science at three different universities. She is also a PhD student in Information Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where her focus is on information access for reproductive health. Barbara is a 2022 Library Journal Mover & Shaker and is working on her second book about how public libraries can provide sexual and reproductive health information to their communities.
