2019 Library Improvement & Innovation Grant Purchase



Marinette Consolidated County Library, Oconto Falls Public Library, and Shawano County Library co-wrote a grant for an author visit and book signing. The libraries selected bestselling and award-winning Wisconsin author Nickolas Butler.

NFLS Regional Training: January 16th in Sturgeon Bay

For those who missed the regional training event in Marinette last week, an additional session on Compassionate Accountability: Dealing with Problem Behaviors in the Library will be given at the Door County Library Sturgeon Bay Branch on January 16, 2020. 

An invite was recently emailed to all member library directors. If you missed the invite, you may also reply to this email to RSVP.  *** Please forward the invite to your library staff as needed. RSVP is requested so we can get an accurate count for materials and snacks. ***


Recollection Wisconsin Steering Committee Nominations Open

Recollection Wisconsin is seeking new members for its Steering Committee. Please consider nominating yourself or sharing with a colleague! 

The Committee is made up of librarians, archivists, curators, educators and other digital practitioners representing a broad range of cultural heritage institutions throughout Wisconsin. It is especially interested in adding more representatives from the local history/historic preservation/museum communities and representatives from institutions in the southwest, northeast, and north-central areas of the state.

Nominations will be accepted through December 31, 2019.

This position performs routine clerical and physical tasks as required. Reports to Library Head of Circulation and Branch Managers.  Regular attendance and punctuality along with being prepared to commence work at designated work locations, on the assigned or scheduled days and hours is expected.

The WI Libraries Transforming Communities state-wide community engagement training opportunity is almost here.
