A new InfoSoup page was added to the Catalogs & Resources tab this week. Previously, viewers were redirected to https://www.infosoup.org/. The purpose of the new page is to assist viewers in finding InfoSoup offerings more easily and all on one page.
Navigation at the top of the page allows users to jump to categories within the page, and "BACK TO TOP" navigation below each category returns users back to the top of the page.
Each category contains tabs and/or tables to navigate to subcategories.
For those who prefer navigating directly through InfoSoup, simply click on the header at the top of the page (above the category navigation).
We hope you find this page useful and invite you to click through as time allows. Please email Lori Baumgart with any constructive criticism you may have.
NFLS and OWLS have purchased new delivery tubs. Once tubs are ready, they will go be woven in with the old tubs as needed. One end on the lids has a plastic lip that secures under the tub; on the other end, NFLS and NFLS Libraries will be using zip ties to keep them in place. CLICK HERE to sneak a peek at the new tubs.
Something to Keep in Mind During Your Summer Library Program
The Public Library Development (PLD) Team coordinates a summer reading program on behalf of Wisconsin's public libraries. PLD supports Wisconsin's membership to the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) and provides the all-ages manual to Wisconsin public libraries. Through the state-sponsored membership to CSLP, Wisconsin libraries are able to purchase high-quality program materials at a low cost.
Beginning this year, PLD will conduct an annual end-of-the-summer survey about the summer library program in concert with CSLP. The online survey will be open July 29 through September 13, 2019. Details on who and how to fill out the survey will come later. For now, here are a few key requests the survey will include:
How your library tracks participation in your summer library program (SLP)
Total number (#) in each of the three age groups who participated in your SLP [Children’s (0-11), Teens (12-18), and Adults (19+)]
# in each age group who completed the minimum goal
# of SLP themed events for each age group
# of individuals attending SLP themed events for each age group
Your suggestions, ideas and feedback for SLP themes for 2021 and beyond
If/how your library participated in the USDA's Summer Food Service Program
If/how your library engaged with local schools to encourage participating in summer library programming
