Staff Development Day on September 23

""Save the date for Staff Development Day: Friday, September 23 from 8:30-noon. All NFLS member library directors and staff are invited to participate in this training and networking event.

Wendy Franklin from NTWC will be leading us through an exploration of Service Leadership in libraries. She will provide training on assertive communication skills and attitude and on using emotional intelligence to calm an upset patron. Wendy is an experienced trainer who provides customer service trainings to organizations throughout Wisconsin.

The training will run from 9 a.m. to noon at Brown County Central Library. Everyone is welcome to join us at 8:30 a.m. for a light continental breakfast and some time to meet new friends and catch up with people across the system. We will break at noon for a buffet-style lunch sponsored by NFLS.

An invitation with registration details was emailed by Hannah Good Zima to all NFLS member library directors on Thursday, August 25th.
