Unemployment Insurance 1099-G Desk Guide Updated

For the last few years, Unemployment Insurance (UI) has emailed a desk guide to provide helpful information to claimants re: accessing their unemployment 1099-G tax statements online.

The desk guide has been updated this year. Please continue to make this one-page reference sheet available to claimants who may have questions about their 1099-G tax form.

The 1099-G tax forms for 2021 are expected to be available online on January 14, 2022.

Midwest Archives ConferenceLast but not least: share your projects and good news! The 2022 Midwest Archives Conference will be held in Madison, WI in May 2022 (fingers crossed, in person!). MAC has an opportunity for poster proposals, due January 18, 2022.

Center for South Asia Public Library Grant

The Center for South Asia at the University of Wisconsin Madison launched a new South Asia in Wisconsin program to fund public libraries in Wisconsin. Libraries across the state are invited to submit proposals to purchase books and materials and/or facilitate programming that will enable Wisconsin readers to deepen their understanding of South Asia.

Applicants are encouraged to select books from the recommended book list, which includes titles for adults as well as children and young adults. This project is supported with federal funding from the U.S. Department of Education Title VI National Resource Center program, in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s Library Services team.

The application deadline is December 15, 2021. Full South Asia in Wisconsin application details can be found here.
