Starting at $17/hour with full benefits

This position will be responsible for a wide variety of duties that support Nicolet’s administrative activities, Board preparation, interlibrary loan delivery, grant administration, continuing education, and outreach services.

This part-time position (20 hours/week) starts at $17/hour with full benefits; however, the position has the potential to grow into a 30-hour position within a year. Nicolet’s salary plans, insurance, and fringe benefit package is highly competitive.

Graphic Novels & Comics Librarian Conference Travel Grants


Comics Librarian Conference Travel Grant
Through the Comics Librarian Conference Travel Grant, the GNCRT will support two travel grants for GNCRT members to attend the 2023 ALA Annual Conference in Chicago, IL this June.

These grants are intended to support the professional development of library workers interested in expanding their knowledge and experience with comics in libraries. Through these grants, GNCRT seeks to highlight the value “comics librarianship” brings to the field.

Each grant winner will receive reimbursement of up to $3,000 toward their attendance at the upcoming 2023 ALA Annual Conference in Chicago, IL.

WLA LDI application deadline extended to Monday, March 13th


Great news!  WLA has received a pool of really impressive applications for LDI!  Now that the application deadline has passed and everything is in, the planning committee recognizes it will have space to accept 2-3 more participants. 

If you missed the application deadline or are kicking yourself for not applying, get moving!  The application deadline is now Monday, March 13 at midnight.

WAPL Conference registration is open

 

Registration is open for the 2023 Wisconsin Association of Public Libraries (WAPL) Conference. This educational and fun event will take place April 26 - 28 at the Best Western Premier Waterfront Hotel & Convention Center in Oshkosh.

Keynote speakers include notable Wisconsin authors Lori M. Lee, B.J. Hollars, and Maggie Ginsberg.  Attendees will come together to share big ideas and learn from each other through special events and more than 30 interactive breakout sessions.

Book Challenge Hindsight: What You Wish You’d Known


Join WiLS on Friday, March 24th at 1:00 pm CT, when they host the next WILSWorld Shorts with a panel of people involved with K12 and public libraries who have valuable experience and advice to share on handling book challenges. WiLS is honored to welcome these voices to the panel:
  • Ashley Knapp, Library Media Instructional Technology Specialist at West De Pere High School
  • Matt Mulder, current Oconomowoc Common Council member and former Oconomowoc Public Library Board of Trustees member
  • Katelyn Sabelko, Library Services Manager at Marathon County Public Library
Given the record number of challenges happening in libraries, what questions do you have for the panelists? What might help you with a future or current challenge? Let WiLS know by anonymously submitting your question(s) in this document, and they'll get their panelists' responses to them during the event.
