2019 Library Improvement & Innovation Grants Awarded

The NFLS finance committee was very impressed with the ingenuity and commitment to community that was expressed in each of the 10 grant applications that were submitted.

It was required that funds be used in areas of Workforce Development, Lifelong Learning, and/or Technology; and each application had a unique project - from virtual reality and interactive whiteboards to native language and author visits. The following libraries / library teams receiving grants include:
  • Gillett, Lena and Suring Area Public Libraries
  • Kewaunee Public Library
  • Marinette County Consolidated Public Library
  • Florence County Library
  • S. Verna Fowler Academic Library / Menominee Public Library
  • Algoma Public Library
  • Niagara Public Library
  • Farnsworth Public Library
  • Shawano County Library, Oconto Falls Library and Marinette County Consolidated Public Library
  • Door County Library
As Tracy Vreeke mentioned in last week's Librarians' Advisory Committee meeting, applications requesting up to $1,000 will be funded at 100 percent. Applications requesting $1,000 and over will be funded at 97 percent.

Congratulations to all!
