Kewaunee Public Library Hiring Student Library Aide


""Applicants must be currently enrolled in high school and at least 16 years old. Duties include but are not limited to: assisting patrons with technology, shelving of books, providing customer service to patrons, assisting with events and programs, and light cleaning of the library. Applicant must be willing to work two or three evenings a week and every other Saturday. ​The application deadline is September 27, 2021.

Grant & Scholarship Opportunities

Libraries and Veterans Microgrants


Libraries and Veterans National ForumThe Libraries and Veterans microgrants provide funding to libraries for eligible projects that support library services and programming for veterans and military-affiliated patrons. Microgrants are intended to encourage libraries to engage with veterans and other military-affiliated patrons such as service members, military family members, and family members of veterans. Multiple grant applications are eligible per library system.

Funding for these microgrants has been provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis while funds remain available. 

Award Amount
: $500 to $3000

Timeline:
  • Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis from October 2021 to February 2022 while funds remain available.
  • To be eligible for initial review, submit applications by October 1, 2021.
  • No applications postmarked after February 1, 2022, will be accepted.
  • Spending must be completed and all final reports will be due no later than April 15, 2022.

WHRAB Professional Development Scholarships

 

The Wisconsin Historical Records Advisory Board (WHRAB), with support from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC), is offering scholarships to attend the 2021 Local History and Historic Preservation Conference. The conference will be held online from October 20-22, 2021.    

To be considered for the scholarship, the application should be received no later than Friday, October 1, 2021. Recipients will be notified by email of their status by Monday, October 11, 2021.

Dates to remember:
  • Now thru October 25, 2021 – Early registration open
  • October 26 - November 1, 2021 – Advance registration open
  • Starting November 2, 2021 – Onsite registration at the conference only

Need to cancel? Refunds for canceled conference registrations will be provided, less a $25 cancellation fee, for all requests received no later than Monday, November 1. No refunds after November 1, 2021.
