#SummerLearning, Programming & Resources - Let's Get the Word Out!

Our libraries are doing an awesome job this summer - and we'd like to help share the excitement! This summer, let's make an effort to do these two things to help promote programming in our libraries:
  • As you're adding events and timeline posts to Facebook, be sure to use the hashtag #SummerLearning; it's a great way to consolidate all that's going on this summer in one place to show people what our 42 libraries throughout northeast Wisconsin have to offer!
  • What programming resources are you using? If they are already on the NFLS Programming & Resources blog, please leave your comments under those you enjoyed and would recommend to other libraries. If you've used resources that aren't on the blog, please submit them via the form on the page or email with details and links to have them added to the list.
Thanks for your help!

Call for Poster or Visual Display: Share your ideas at WLA 2019

Is your summer reading program surpassing all expectations? Are you implementing a new service model and seeking feedback? Would you like to share out a successful initiative but avoid public speaking? The poster session at the WLA fall conference is for you!

WLA Annual Conference Committee invites everyone to share your best ideas and work with the library community by presenting a poster or visual display session at the 2019 WLA Annual Conference at the Kalahari Resort on Thursday, October 10 at 4:30pm.

Stand by your display and discuss your work with fellow librarians. The proposals deadline is Friday, Sept. 6, 2019.    > > LEARN MORE
WIN A PRIZE! As an alternative to submitting an entire poster or visual display:

The WLA Conference Committee wants you to share examples of how your library strives to include everyone in your library space, programming, and services.  Submit your photos and descriptions here.
The images and ideas will be used for displays at the WLA Conference, and possibly on the WLA Conference Archives. This submission form could take around 10 minutes to fill out depending on how detailed your descriptions are. You do not need to attend the conference in order to submit your examples of inclusive spaces, services and programs.

Any NFLS library that takes the time to do this will get a prize at the August 2 Advisory meeting (one per library please).
