recollection wisconsin logoParticipate this summer in one of four Digital Readiness Fairs “hosted” throughout Wisconsin. These free, virtual events are open to the public but require registration. Local history practitioners and invited guest experts will share their experiences working with digital projects including their challenges and successes, “best practices” and a few lessons learned along the way.

Presenters are excited to showcase digitization projects from around the state and help folks build their own “community of practice” with others engaged in digital projects. Participants will also learn more about ongoing digital readiness work, Recollection Wisconsin, and the Wisconsin Historical Society’s History Outreach Program.

OMNIGRAPHICS logoIn this timely webinar, Sue Maniloff, Vice President of Business Development at Omnigraphics, will cover the increasing need for diversity resources in schools and libraries as well as the benefits of conducting a diversity audit to best assess which areas within a collection need further development. Intended for school administrators, librarians, and educators, this informative session will discuss the importance of unpacking and building diversity collections for various ignored groups, helping readers see themselves, as in a mirror, and also seeing other points of view, as in a window.
