Small Library Strategic Planning Cohorts: 2019 Results, 2020 Recap, & 2021 Spots Available

""An invigorating and inspiring capstone meeting closed out the 2020 Small Library Strategic Planning Cohort -- a process that started (and then stopped and then started again) back in the spring of 2020. Six communities participated in the cohort, maintaining good humor and flexibility throughout a challenging period.

Each plan is different and unique to the library and community, but there were some overlapping or common strategic goal areas among the cohort libraries:

  • Communications and marketing
  • Access and inclusivity
  • Engagement and outreach
Check out the July 2021 WiLS Community Chronicle to learn:
  • What Martha Bauer, library director at Brewer Public Library (Richland Center) and Jamie Hein, library director at Clintonville Public Library, had to say about their experiences. (2020 Strategic Planning Cohort)
  • What Peg Burington, director at Waupaca Area Public Library, had to say two years after the library’s strategic plan was implemented. (2019 Strategic Planning Cohort)
  • How to reserve a spot for the 2021 Strategic Planning Cohort! Details, including timeline and costs, can be found on the WiLS website.
