Dear friends and colleagues,

As we are entering the last two months of our first season, I would like to take a moment and share with you all some of the beautiful experiences we had.

As you all know, we received many high-quality project proposals from a wide range of different artists, designers, researchers and scientists. Our first resident arrived in June and since then we welcomed five others and their projects.

We will close our first season with Jennifer Dowdell, artist and ecological designer, who will stay with us until the end of October.

Last March we began our vegetable garden and it’s been growing plentifully and feeding us all the most delicious biological produce. Most of our residents have enjoyed participating in gardening – an activity which bears quite some relations to art-making. And serves as a great early morning meditative practice before we start our working day.

Next year we will work to build our fruit orchard.

The project 'Plant a Tree' is still ongoing.
Our first resident Verena Blok already planted her Oleander tree, and the rest will follow. Stephanie Talić is waiting to plant her lemon tree in the Fall.

Welcoming five new additions to our KAMEN family. Our dear Mila gave birth to five beautiful and healthy puppies.
