PERSONAL MESSAGE TO OUR COMMUNITY

Kia ora koutou katoa,

Pou Whakaaro has been a part of the Eastern Bay Community for over 30 years, providing various support services. We have gotten through some tough times together including floods, earthquakes, and more recently, a volcanic eruption. Our staff have been there with you, offering mental health support and providing essential goods to get through.

Now, as a community, we face our toughest challenge yet as we battle COVID-19. The coronavirus pandemic has put stress on our mental health and physical wellbeing, but we are proud of how our community is managing Lockdown.

We would like to assure everyone that our team is working hard behind the scenes and we are pleased to be providing essential services to our community.

We are in continual contact with the people we partner to ensure their needs are being looked after. We are also distributing meals, connecting people with local support services as well as planning services in preparation for post-lockdown needs.

If you are feeling anxious, stressed or need help to find the support services contact our team today on 3088170. We can get through this together.
