2022 has been a great year for the NY Breeding Bird Atlas! Over 3,100 people have contributed breeding observations of 224 species (and counting!) confirmed breeding statewide. Data collection is going really well and we are pleased and grateful that New York birders have remained so enthusiastic about this project.
As a past supporter of Sponsor-a-Species, we know you understand how important the Atlas data are to the protection of birds and their habitats.
We want to let you know that we will soon be launching our annual Sponsor-a-Species campaign. Last year you donated partial sponsorship for your favorite birds, and as a past contributor, we want to give you the chance to renew your support for another year.
