Hello from Stella, I hope you're well this February!

As lighter evenings peep in and we see the occasional premature glimmer of Spring, I feel excited about the year ahead. The first three months of Painting Zone courses at Beeches Studio has felt hugely enjoyable and inspiring for me. My first experience of connecting with developing artists here in Cirencester has been fun, friendly and fulfilling, and I'm grateful to the many participants who have attended with generous enthusiasm and receptive hearts.

Painting Zone Weekly Classes
Our New Year six-week daytime and evening classes on the theme "Painting People" are already half way through and I'm impressed by the rate of progress reached so far.
The next courses on capturing "The Poetry of Place" start on 1 & 3 March, and there are still spaces available to book on daytime and evening courses.
Further nature-based Spring painting courses commence on 19 & 21 April are also available for enrolment. Early Bird discount applies.

Free Tasters
If you're interested and would like to sample a painting class, you can book to attend a free taster session.

"Abstract Lab" Workshops are now available, one morning each month
I've heard it said that a modest sized, attractive piece of original abstract art can add a classy touch of sophistication to any wall! You can paint one at Painting Zone monthly workshop, for your own wall, or as a gift. At each workshop you will learn the basic skills needed to create different types of abstract paintings. Each workshop will cover a different method, ranging from moody semi-abstract landscape to colourful geometrics and pop-art collages. You can book to attend a single Saturday morning workshop or a series. Further information and booking can be found on the website

Painting Zone Non-Residential "Retreat Weekends"
It began with a drawing class at the beautiful Ingleside House in Cirencester, followed by a sociable walk round Abbey Grounds Lake, gathering inspirations and ideas to paint. This was the first Painting Zone New Year weekend workshop in Cirencester, which was held at the end of January. Attendees went on to immerse themselves for the rest of the two days in creating their paintings. Themes worked on were personal to each artist, ranging from aspects of  landscape and motherhood to abstract design. Some fascinatingly different paintings emerged through the weekend. Afterwards, participants mentioned how relaxing they'd found the Retreat experience, with ample refreshments and a luxuriously lengthy opportunity to self-connect and progress their artistic skills.
The next weekend workshop has been scheduled in the Spring, on Sat 28 & Sun 29 May, 10am and 4.30pm. If you'd be interested in taking part or would like to treat someone you know (gift cards are available,) further details and booking are available here.

Wishing you all the very best enjoyment of your art.
