Message from Mrs Ormsby
Hello wonderful Stanton Families!
What a crazy and unprecedented time we are in! Last week was very challenging for all of us as we adjusted to our "new normal". I want to express my praise and sincere gratitude for everyone in the Stanton community for the many ways we pulled together to support one another.
The teachers and staff at Stanton have truly stepped up and worked to embrace remote learning, provide instruction at home, and support continued student learning. They have all been working so hard to not only prepare materials and support students with online learning but to also send updated information to families, and deep clean our school while we are away. A big thank you to all of the Stanton staff for giving it their all!
Parents, you are awesome! I know that this is a big change for you. Thank you for working so hard to support your students while they are at home. I believe in you and although this is an adjustment for you, I encourage you to continue to take each day at a time and to have patience not only with your child but with yourselves as well. I believe in you and your resilience.
I read an article on Facebook that suggested 4 things that I think are good for all of us to remember during the upcoming weeks:
1. Give Yourself Grace
2. Create a Daily Routine
3. Focus on Self Care
4. Spend Time with Family and Fur Babies
Please keep these things in mind as we move along this journey!
This week I would like to invite everyone in the Stanton Virtual Spirit Week!
Monday: Wear your favorite sports team shirt! If possible go outside and participate in that sport with a family member.
Tuesday: Be an artist day! Draw, color, or paint a new cover page for one of your favorite books.
Wednesday: Wacky head day. Wear a crazy hat or hairstyle! Encourage a family member to join you!
Thursday: Say Thank you Day! Write or draw a thank you card for someone you love or care about today. If possible mail that card or share it with that person via Facetime or Skype.
Friday: Stanton Spirit Day! Wear your Stanton gear or Stanton colors, teal and yellow!
I hope you will join us for our virtual Stanton spirit week! Even though we may not be able to see each other, we can still be together in Stanton Spirit!
We can do this Stanton Stars!

We're all staying home to keep our neighbors, friends, and family safe. SPA would like to encourage Stanton families to make Stars and share them on their lawns or windows. Write encouraging chalk art on your driveways or post signs.
Take your kids out for a walk so that they can see all the signs and stars. Take pictures and share them on our Facebook Page!

Resources
We hope that you and your families are well and stay that way. Many parents have reached out to us or to teachers for help on logging into their child's Google account or for homework assistance. Here are instructions:
Eureka Math
Does your child have Math homework that they need help with?
Duane Habecker is a teacher that made a video for each lesson in all Modules of Eureka Math 1st-5th grade.
To find out what lesson your child is on, look at the top right of the page/worksheet. It says the lesson number, grade level, then Module number (the Module is the unit). For example 3*5 means 3rd grade Module 5.
