Castro Valley Outreach Food Drive

November 12th-22nd

The Castro Valley Outreach Food Drive will be November 12th -22nd. Each classroom will have a collection box and has a designated item to donate, please see the info below. Any family needing assistance may contact their school principal. Also anyone interested in volunteering time or donating to the program may contact Chrissy Becerra at cbecerra@cv.k12.ca.us

Volunteer opportunities for the food drive

There are many volunteer opportunities and we could use your help! Please see the list of volunteer positions here:Collection of boxes from the classrooms and delivery of boxes to the sorting location -  Nov. 22nd after school.  Help is needed with presorting of the food from 2-6 pm at the Church.People with trucks or vans are needed to help transport the boxes from the classrooms to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints @ corner of 7 Hills Rd & Almond Ave at 3700 Seven Hills Rd.

Food Sorting & Boxing– Nov. 25th 9 am -12 pm & Nov. 26th  9 - 10:30 am. Meet at the church at 3700 Seven Hills Rd. to help sort and organize food boxes.  Children are welcomed as long as they are supervised. (just show up)

Food Box Pickup – Nov. 26th 9-10:30 am families will be picking up their food boxes.  Some boxes may need to be delivered, so please inquire if you’re interested in helping with that.  Volunteers/drivers meet at the Church. Vans or trucks are useful, but not essential.  Volunteers will be given delivery addresses and maps.
Strong youths needed on Nov. 26th  9-10:30 am - that can help put food in cars for families that will pick up at the Church.

Saturday, December 7th 9 am  - we are asking families to please pickup their tree however, we may need drivers (preferably with van or truck) that can deliver Christmas trees to those who cannot pickup. Please just show up at the Church and details will be given.  Pls email castrovalleyoutreach@gmail.com if you’re interested in helping out so we can get a headcount of volunteers.Thank you for your generosity.What a great way to show your child or children what we all have to be thankful for.  Reach out and help others.

Fundraiser at Taquería Portales - November 21st

Please come help raise funds for Stanton Elementary School while you
get some delicious Mexican food at Taqueria Portales.
25% of sales will be donated to Stanton Elementary!

When: Thursday, November 21st, 2019, from 11am to 9pm
