As announced by the CVUSD: "Ms. Faria is a long term employee of Castro Valley Unified School District. She began her career in Castro Valley as a teacher and English Language Learner Coach in 2004 at Castro Valley Elementary School. Over the next 13 years at Castro Valley Elementary School, Ms. Faria served as a teacher, coach, and an intervention specialist. In 2017, Ms. Faria earned her Administrative Credential from California State University, East Bay and transitioned into administration. In addition to serving as the Elementary Summer School Principal in 2018, she has also served as the Assistant Principal at Canyon Middle School for the past three years."
SPA GENERAL MEETING
Our next general meeting is MAY 19, 2020, 6:30 – 8:00 PM. The agenda is available here. Please note that ALL participants will need to register ahead of time with this Zoom link. Participants at the last SPA meeting will need to re-register (we apologize for the inconvenience).
As a reminder, we will be voting for the SPA Board. We're asking anyone who has a desire to serve on the board to reach out to Amy Ramos at president@stantonspa.com. The prerequisites for being a board member are minor: you need to be a parent or guardian of a Stanton student, help plan and attend SPA events when possible, and attend board meetings at least once a month. Anyone who wishes to serve does not need to identify a specific role (e.g. treasurer): officer positions will be determined after the SPA Board is elected.

YEARBOOK
Due to COVID, we'll have to wait a few more weeks before we can see our kids' yearbook. The logistics for the yearbook pickup are still being determined, and parents that ordered copies will receive an email with the details.

Current 4th grade students can sign up for instrumental music for the 2020-21 school year from March 16th through May 17th. Please visit this website to select your instruments and learn more about the music program.
