Welcome to the Senderos Autumn Newsletter (Part 1)
Including our Exciting New Partners in Brazil

A lot has happened in our world of Latin America travel since our last newsletter in August. The region has at last come off the red list, consumer confidence is slowly returning and here at Senderos we've expanded our portfolio with some wonderful new partners. We've also upgraded and refreshed our website with detailed product and sustainability information, adding our personal musings on what makes our partners so special.

Our newsletter is split into two editions so that we do justice to our new partners. This first one introduces the beautiful, sea-front private houses Villa Bom Jardim and Loft Bom Jardim, as well as their sister hotel, the renovated Pousada do Sandi, all on Brazil's Costa Verde. In early December we'll send you news of Finca Rosa Blanca in Costa Rica and Anakonda Amazon Cruises in Ecuador, who we're also proud to now represent.

Last month we sent out Senderos Partners' availability over Christmas and New Year. Many still have space available, so please let us know if you'd like an update for any properties or boats.

If you have any questions or would like more information about any news we feature below, please get in touch ( or ask your DMC.

Warm wishes from Nicola, Naomi, Simon & Gareth.

The converted boat house Loft Bom Jardim sits on the edge of the calm, protected waters of Paraty Bay, its high ceilings and use of glass accentuating the wonderful sea views and mountains beyond. With three bedrooms and spacious communal areas, it's perfect for friends or a family. Paraty is 10 minutes away by boat and the rental price includes the boat transfers, daily return trips to Paraty and a housekeeper and chef to prepare delicious meals (ingredients charged extra). See the Loft Bom Jardim brochure with images here.

Villa Bom Jardim sits nestled in the trees that line the main beach, a short walk from Loft Bom Jardim. The Villa has a more traditional style and was also recently renovated, in this case by the renowned Brazilian architect Marcos Tomanik. Seven bedrooms range from cosy twins to larger primary bedrooms, while spacious communal areas are complemented by a large living room and kitchen. See the brochure for Villa Bom Jardim here.

A long-standing favourite for visitors to Paraty, Pousada do Sandi has a privileged central location in the historical town centre. Recent renovations to the 300-year-old mansion include upgrades to the 28 characterful rooms. Spacious suites are arranged around the outside, with double glazed windows and original shutters opening up to the street below. The remaining rooms are situated around a lush tropical courtyard and pool. Facilities include an excellent restaurant, bar, ice cream parlour, steam bath, spa and gym.

Galápagos National Park Extension from COP26
As many of you will have seen, one amazing achievement to have come out of the the COP26 conference is the expansion of the Galápagos Park borders to include vital migratory areas for endangered species. With over 23,000 square miles added onto the National Park (45% of original area) there is now a protected marine corridor connecting the Galápagos Marine Reserve with the Cocos Island National Park in Costa Rica - which was previously highly vulnerable to industrial fishing fleets. This is a major moment for the Galápagos Islands as well as for global marine conservation.
