Upcoming DSA Santa Fe Events
We've come a long way since 2017, when our young chapter sent only two delegates to National! This year we are sending a delegation of SIX to convention in Atlanta. For more information, see later in this section.
To celebrate, our chapter will be hosting a local "community fair" with a wide variety of community organizations in our city. While the nation will be focused on the Atlanta Convention, our city will be busy building community and solidarity!
DSA Santa Fe is especially asking our comrades from across the country to help us as we organize in the Southwest. Any amount helps!

As a chapter, DSA Santa Fe is committed to fighting against racism, and we will continue to educate ourselves to understand how we are part of the systemic problem.
“To say that whiteness is a standpoint is to say that a significant aspect of white identity is to see oneself as an individual, outside or innocent of race - “just a human.” This standpoint views white people and their interests as central to humanity. Whites also produce and reinforce the dominant narratives of society - such as individualism and meritocracy - and use these narratives to explain the positions of other racial groups. These narratives allow us to congratulate ourselves on our success within the institutions of society and blame others for their lack of success.”
— Robin DiAngelo, White Fragility
"Every daring attempt to make a great change in existing conditions, every lofty vision of new possibilities for the human race, has been labelled Utopian."
— Emma Goldman, Socialism: Caught in the Political Trap
