Hi there and a warm welcome to my first ever newsletter!
It's taken me a while to work out how to do these so bear with me
as I find my way.
I hope to provide you with colour and style tips, wardrobe advice, outfit ideas, offers and anything that I think you might find useful. I plan to send a monthly newsletter out to all my subscribers, to start with, and hope they will help you feel more excited about experimenting with your wardrobe, finding your own unique style and most importantly feel great!
How to shop the January Sales
Do you love a bargain? I know I do!
At this time of year the shops are full of tempting sale items, but be warned the majority of items we buy in the sales are the ones that are still sat in our wardrobe next January with the tags still on!

Here are my 5 top tips for shopping the sales:

1. Be prepared!
Sounds simple but to avoid wandering aimlessly around the shops it's best to have a plan and better still a list!
Wear an outfit and shoes that are easy to whip off and on e.g jeans, t-shirt and slip on boots. Leave the coat in the car and opt for a blazer so you don't overheat in the toasty shops.

2.Don't just buy it because it's cheap!
It's only a bargain if it works with your wardrobe and you are going to wear it lots. Forget about the original price, would you buy it if it wasn't in the sale? It's worth giving the condition of the item a check over too.

3. Try it on!
I know it might involve a queue but it's on sale for a reason and it might just be that the fit doesn't work for most body shapes or it doesn't hang nicely etc. If you're prepared and have worn a t-shirt just find a mirror in the store and try on tops, jackets, jumpers and even dresses over the top to avoid the fitting rooms.

4.Avoid buying high fashion items
These pieces really will end up as mistake buys and will be heading for the charity shop before you know it!

5.Invest in classic pieces and quality basics
The best part of the sales is the chance to buy quality pieces that have longevity for a reduced price. Classic jackets, Coats, T-shirts, Boots and Shoes, Bags, Belts and accessories. OK so they will alter slightly next season but if you stick to your best neutral colours you'll be wearing these items for years.

BUT WHAT ARE MY BEST NEUTRALS? (I hear you ask)
As a very general guide:
If you have Summer colouring choose Greys and Navys
If you have Winter colouring chooses Blacks, Dark Green or Mulberry
If you are Autumn or Spring choose Chocolate Browns and Navys
