Happy August! How are you all doing?
Hopefully, some sort of normality is resuming for you although 'It's life Jim, but not as we know it!' Has everyone managed to get a haircut yet or are you like me and actually enjoying the more relaxed look and embracing the curls or the grey?
I'm finding this time actually quite difficult to get used to after such a long break. It seems like overnight we've been catapulting back into work mode and into the thick of everyday stresses, strains and juggling with the added Covid precautions sprinkled on top!
I completely appreciate that some of you haven't stopped working and others are yet to return, but my first day back to work certainly felt very much like going back to school after the summer holidays!
On a much more positive note returning to work has been just brilliant, seeing my customers again, the flexibility of working from home, and my new cute and calm home salon has been running like a dream.
I've also been visiting some of my local boutiques that I like to support and I'm pleased to report it's a much more enjoyable experience than the high street.
I worry about how these small stores are going to manage and I really feel they need our support more than ever, so if you need some gorgeous new clothes that are a bit more unique but you are still a little nervous about hitting the high street then please go give them a try.

Here are my 4 absolute favorite local boutiques who would love your support right now. You can click on these images to view each websites x
Making our wardrobes work hard and really thinking about wearing our clothes lots and lots is so important. If we can all only add pieces to our wardrobe that we love and that will become friends with the rest of our wardrobe family, we will be doing a small bit to help reduce the wasteful 'one wear' clothes that end up on the landfill.

Knowing the colours that suit us best and the styles that enhance our body shapes really helps you to shop for items that you will love wearing, in many different ways, for a long time.
Our clothes also reflect how we feel and making even small changes to how we look can really change our mood, If you want to know more about how I can help you look and feel better about heading back outside please get in touch. I'm always happy to chat and answer questions anytime.

I hope you enjoy this months content

August is for Peridot

Well it's my birthday month so this is my birthstone and lucky for me green is my favourite colour!
Peridot is a lime green colour believed to instill power and influence in the wearer. It was once believed that the green peridot crystals found in volcanic ashes were the tears of the volcano goddess, Pele. When set in gold, this gem was said to protect the wearer from nightmares.
I just think it's a gorgeous happy colour that falls somewhere between Game of Thrones and Tinkerbell!
This month Chris has made this simply stunning peridot and silver ring which would look beautiful worn alone or stacked with others.

ONLINE ALL THE WAY!

As we have all been forced to be more internet savvy over the last few months my online consultations suddenly don't seem so alien. The online consultation process is so simple and convenient it really is a great way to build confidence with your colours and styles from the comfort of your own home.
All you have to do is get in touch, send me some pictures and let me do all the work. I will then arrange a zoom meeting with you to explain, discuss and show you my findings, you can literally be in your P-J's for this as the work has already been done. This is just time to talk it all through with you and for you to ask lots of questions.
I will send you a report and a digital colour palette to keep on your phone ready for shopping trips.

It really is that simple.

I now offer the following online services and can adapt to suit your needs, as I did just last week when I chatted to a lovely lady the day before her photoshoot to give her some advice on which outfits to wear.
