EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

Title: CDC Webinar: Improving Routine, Influenza, and Covid-19 Vaccination This Winter

Date: Recorded

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance for all individuals to be up-to-date on their routine vaccinations, as well as their annual influenza vaccine. Many children fell behind on routine vaccines and well-child visits during the pandemic. Routine, influenza, and COVID-19 vaccines are essential to helping children, families, and communities stay healthy.

In this archived webinar, two presenters from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) discussed the benefits of receiving the flu vaccination and how it plays a key role in keeping communities safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the importance of routine vaccines for children, including coadministration of vaccines.

If you missed the webinar or would like to revisit it, the recording and presentation slides are now available on the Public Health Foundation (PHF) website.

Presenters:
  • Amanda Carnes, MPH, Health Communication Specialist, Office of the Director, NCIRD, CDC (currently deployed as the Pediatric Communications Lead, CDC COVID-19 Vaccine Task Force)
  •  Bess Davenport, MPH, Health Communication Specialist, Influenza Division, NCIRD, CDC
