August 2021 is National Immunization Awareness Month!

Dear coalition members,

Happy National Immunization Awareness Month! National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM) is an annual observance held in August to highlight the importance of vaccination for people of all ages. This year's theme is Get Back on Track with Routine Vaccines.

Within Massachusetts, the Baker-Polito administration has proclaimed August 2021 to be Immunization Awareness Month. Please see the proclamation signed by Governor Baker and the press release from the Massachusetts Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics, and MAIC.

Below are some resources available for national immunization awareness month.

Use these resources to assist you in communicating to healthcare professionals, parents, and patients about immunization during August and throughout the year. I will also be including additional NIAM resources in our weekly emails. If you have additional resources you think the adult immunization community should be aware of, please send me an email at the address below.

If you have any questions, please reach out to me at amy_sgueglia@jsi.com.

Take care,

Amy Sgueglia
