Three Things Worth Sharing
According to this joint article by a former EPA regional chief and a chemical engineer, “Plastic recycling does not work and will never work.” This is an interesting take, as is their comment that the plastic industry is acting like the tobacco industry did when they said that filtered cigarettes are a healthier option.
We’re all using Q-tips incorrectly – This quirky article about Q-tips has some interesting information about how the Q-tip was invented and how it has evolved over the years. And apparently 80% of consumers today use Q-tips for non-personal care uses!
Just for Fun: Check out this terrific picture of the compression of a baseball as it gets crushed for a home run in the recent MLB all-star game. I knew intellectually that a baseball compresses in order to rocket off of a bat, but never really internalized how one side can literally flatten out at impact. Impressive in both the batting and the photography.
