Animal models have become an important tool for studying human disease mechanisms. Mouse models are essential in the drug discovery process.  Many scientists in the early stages of researching rare and ultra-rare disorders, lack an existing mouse line to begin the necessary work on studying the rare disease mechanisms. Identifying these mechanisms is one of the first steps in developing treatments.

An intimate evening of beautiful cello music performed by Nadine Deleury, former principal cellist of the Detroit Opera House took place on June 9th. All ticket sales were donation-based and over $1,300 was raised to benefit the NR2F1 Foundation!
Guests sipped on refreshing beverages and grazed on delicious hors d'oeuvres as they listened to music from Bach Cello Suites to Six Danzones and other pieces uniquely for the cello.
Carlie Monnier, president of the NR2F1 Foundation and her husband Jeff Perman hosted this unique experience in their backyard garden in Royal Oak, MI.
