Ascena Retail Group, parent company of Lane Bryant and Catherines (among other brands), is having difficulties surviving with the new innovation occurring in the plus-size space. Every week, we hear of a new plus-size brand, or another apparel brand which has added plus-sizes to its assortment. It will be interesting to see if Ascena disappears over the next few years or if it finds new ways to stay relevant.
