Elks executives return to former downtown FXBG home

For almost a century, the local Elks Lodge chapter was based at Fredericksburg Square at 525 Caroline Street. On Thursday, Elks Lodge executives gathered at the site to reminisce and learn about the building's exciting next chapter.

Following the industry-wide pivot triggered by COVID-imposed lockdowns, shoppers appear ready and willing to get out of the house, a signal that the shift to online shopping was a less permanent change in consumer behavior than originally expected.
