In this week’s episode of “Freehling Finds,” Bill talks with Dave Cooper, Chief Executive Officer of the Thurman Brisben Center, about the installation and operation of the new solar electrical panels recently installed on the building at 471 Central Rd. These solar panels have reduced the shelter's monthly electric bills to nearly zero. Dave describes the contributions the Fredericksburg area made to make the installation a success and some of the programs the center has in place to train new solar-panel installers.
